Learning to Sight In! Yes I'm very new to this!

Basically I have no Idea how to adjust the rear sights on my A1? Do I need some special tool or do i just use a screwdriver? Heres pics of the sight...

First, you should replace that rear aperture with an A2 aperture. It gives you the small aperture along with a ghost ring for close up work (<200m). My Bushy had the two small apertures from the factory, and I hated it. Much happier now with the NM A2 sights.

To answer your question, I used a bullet tip to depress the detent on mine. Just push the detent hard enough, and turn (whichever way you need it to go) as you push.

I was at the bench with my AR just a couple of days ago. Hitting about 1.5" low at 25 yards had me zeroed at 100 yards.

hmm well, I understand Need to spin that dial, but how to I do it? Theres a little nub (pin) that goes through in between hole 4/5.

How do I spin that dial with the little nub? Refer to picture 3

Push the nub (detent) in with something small (like a bullet tip) and then the thing will rotate whichever way you need while you're holding it (the detent) down.

OK now 1 more question! SO turning it clockwise will put my shot to the right, counterclockwise will put the shot to the left?

Which ever direction the rear sight moves is the direction the point of impact is going to move.

If you aim a the bulls eye and the bullets hit to the right of the bulls eye, move the rear sight to the left to move the impact of the bullets to the left and closer to the bulls eye.

Move the rear sight the direction you want the bullets to move in relation to your point of aim. Move the front sight the opposite direction.
