I've got a 3" M65 that I'm looking to carry in an IWB holster, and I have a question. Is a sweat shield worth worrying about? I'm a bit...ah...large in the waist, and so I'll be rubbing against the gun a lot. I always wear a t-shirt tucked in under whatever I'm wearing, but should I still have something between the t-shirt and the gun?

So far, I've looked at Milt Sparks, Wild Bill's, AKJ Concealco, and Mitch Rosen. Any others I should look at for this particular gun?

Thanks!

I have a Desantis Viper for my 3" 65. It is a paddle and does quite well for concealment purposes. Check Desantis out. They should have something for you at a reasonable price.

Sweat shield is worth every penny.
A must for me IWB. I wear a T-shirt 365 & still want the sweat shield.
My .02 cents & some think in worth about half that.

Dont forget Bell Charter Oak Holsters

Look at the 'Gaylord Marshall Clip'. Named for Chick Gaylord, old time holster maker from NYC.

I ave personal experience with these guys. Have one holster from them that I absolutely love, and a second one on order as we speak. It will take time to get to you, but damn they are good, and the prices for the quality level just cannot be beat ANYWHERE!

Definitely get the sweat shield. Nothing worse than a hammer spur jabbing you in the side. I've had good luck with Kramer. Hear lots of good things about Simply Rugged also. Would like to try Bell Charter Oaks.

I love the Simply Ruggeds, and I have eight or ten, but if it's to be IWB, then I'm with the Concealco, too. And, yes, get the sweatshield.
Yes, this Concealco lacks it, but the next one has it, to be sure.

I really like the Alessi Talon clip-on IWB for my 3" Model 65. Great holster. Very comfortable and very well made. It has a sweat shield and I wouldn't wear a holster without one.

Leather doesn't like salt water. Ballistic nylon is your friend. Uncle Mike's makes them and doesn't want the rent/mortgage money for one. IWB holsters aren't exactly comfortable for those of us that are built for comfort.

I had two leather IWB's for my 65-5. One was an HBE Com 3

The other was a Tucker Heritage....here's one with my 3" SP-101

both were excellent holsters.
