Looking for a good leather holster for my judge. It's primarily my snake gun, so 99% of the time I want to carry it I'm cutting brush or walking through brush. I'd like to find one that has a cover flap for that reason. Has anyone seen anything like that?

I have a Judge Public Defender that I use as a woods gun. I had a Leather holster made for it. Mine does not have a flap but I am sure it can be done. Look at www.baysleather.com. I am very happy with my holster.

Simply Rugged has five different models available for the Judge. http://www.simplyrugged.com/ At least one and possible as many as three can have flaps.

Never was a 410 "magnum" until Taurus corrupted it. Express.

I hear ya. Everyone calls it the magnum so it just seems easier that way. .45 colts aren't "long" either, but it will never stop.

That's pretty nice! I like the flap latch. Keeping brush away from the hammer is my biggest concern, and the reason I don't always carry it when I should. Could a hammer retention strap be added under the flap just for peace of mind?

Rusticlease,I can put a retention strap under the flap. It would be secured with a snap or if you wanted a small buckle.
