Agreed but the area I'm hunting the man want coyotes removed more than the cats . Cats are a plus or the fee I get for the removal of the coyotes . It's only 92 acres but his goal is a spot to deer & turkey hunt .1 of the 2 are hurting his goal KIMG0834~2.JPG im pretty sure it the coyotes after finding this it was most of the deer no signs of bullet wounds . Not far from where I found 5 piles of coyote crap at his pond . He didn't even know he had deer that big on his property. I'm just gonna remove my NV scope & use my Ruger 77 . Really want a cat . Just because until I moved here never had any to hunt . I'm a good hunter I was one of the first to kill a coyote in Maryland when they moved in . & Before any game officials admitted they were there.

I just thought it funny that one predator is attracted to something that another of similar size and ferocity is leary of.

That was a nice deer. Found one about that size on Christmas day 2020 in my woods. Got hit by a car i guess and made it up into my woods to die the night before. Oddly, it had just one antler, and was untouched except a bit near the butt hole. I found the other antler a couple days later on our path to the back, 100 yards farther into the woods than the deer. Guess a coyote wanted a chew toy lol!

Kinda ironic but ive seen a flashing CD on a string lure in a bobcat to a trap. Curiosity killed the cat...

You can string up a piece of Christmas
garland at your trap set and it will draw
bobcats. The gold especially.
They were hanging around a particular
tree a couple of years ago, I finally
noticed a couple of those shiny mylar
balloons stuck in toward the top where
somebody ( no telling where) had one of
those balloon release things they do

It was found in a bedding area to far off the road to think it was road kill . Maybe shot in the guts or rear end . Rib cage had no signs of firearms damage . No 22 marks in the skull & doubt a neck shot would go far . It was definitely last year's kill . I personally don't know anything's about cat hunting . Not sure how hard it would be to train a hound or how long of a chase . Got a couple house dogs& 1 hound mix that tree feral cats on the regular at the house but don't stay locked on a tree unless I am right there coaching them on .
personally think a shiny anything that will give my position away is a no no . & Yes Missouri has the stupidest law about being allowed to hunt yotes ,cats ,fox at night but not allowed to use a light , thermal or NV .except from February 1 to March 31 on coyotes . But can use a light if it is treed by hounds.& Then they complain that the turkey population is going down

Meh.

You're asking an intensely personal question here that can only be answered by you.

That's because this is mostly a matter of preference and has little, if anything, to do with objective issues, like mechanical modifications, upgrades, or repairs.

I like wood. Painting over it is a personal travesty in my opinion. So is painting over the metal parts.

But hey...there are people out there who like doing that kind of stuff to their guns, and who am I to gainsay them in their preferences?

HOWEVER...if I WERE to consider painting something like this, I'd get another stock and keep the original unchanged.

That's just me.

I doubt there is a camoflage problem w the natural wood & bluing. If i was concerned about it, id take some camo rags & just cover it. You never know the best camo for conditions. Rags can be changed f or free.
