Lee Crimp for 6.8spc, Use .270?

    Can a .270 crimp die from Lee be used to crimp 6.8spc?

    You would think so . . .BUT I'd call up LEE's technical supportline before I'd risk screwing up some brass.

    Not the FCD. It contacts the shellholder to activate the crimping collet, and therefore is keyed to the length of the case (at least enough that drastically different length cartridges would not work). Minor length differences due to not trimming the brass are usually ok.
