LEE PRO1000 convert to turrent?

Can you convert the 1000 to a turrent or single stage?

there is a sensor on the expander/powder fill die.... it will stop the primer and powder ... and it is a turret setup...

so the answer is yes and yes....

I read a post once where someone said they got the parts from Lee to do this, but I'm not sure how it would work.

The turret press's ram comes up in front, lined up with the front hole in the die plate. I would imagine the Pro1k's ram is mounted in the center?

I'm looking at buying a Lee1000 Pro upgrading from my Lyman t-mag turret. so may I ask WHY you would want to do single stage?

N.B.,I'v got 2 Dillon Rl550B,Dillon SDB,2RCBS,1LYMAN+3 other Lee presses.Did not want another progessive,got this one cheap I like the Lee turret(the way its made)Thought this might be a cheap way of getting one.Let you know how it works ,when I get parts. P.S.I'm not that wild about Dillon progessives.

thank you Mr. G. I too have my reservations about Dillons, (they seem very over priced). although I must admit that I have yet to hear anything but exellent comments about the service .

but I have heard a lot of bad things about Lee and yet have never had a problem with the Lee hardware I have.
