I've seen their name a lot but can't find many revues of the company, or their products. What sparked my interest was I ordered a Colt New Agent .45, about a month ago from my favorite local Gun Shop. (bullseye, Lawrenceville GA) <---------shameless plug, sorry! Anyway They had no idea when the gun may arrive, and said it might be 3 to 4 months. Well I just saw a Legacy Sports International Citadel .45 on Davidson's that looks almost identical to the Colt. I know it's NOT a Colt and I would prefer the Colt, but the Citadel is selling for just over $500.00! The colt is close to $900.00 Since I have $500.00 now , I could pick up the Citadel tomorrow or Thursday. The Colt could be another 90 days or more, and since I own my own business, my finances fluctuate a great deal. So.....anybody know anything about Legacy Sports in general or the Citadel specifically? Thanks in advance.

I've looked at the Colt New Agent in person, as well as the Citadel Commander length pistol. It's not strictly apples to apples as the New Agent is an Officer's length gun. To be honest, I think I'd prefer the Citadel. And, I'm a Colt snob.

The fit on the New Agent just doesn't look great to me. And, there are no real sights on the darned thing. The Commander length gun would be much more pleasant to shoot, too.

The Citadel is officer's sized. It has the small frame that holds one less round and a 3.5 inch barrel.

Citadels are manufactured by Armscor. That is the company that produces Rock Island Armory 1911's. I think the Citadels have better finishing than the Rock Islands. But they are essentially the same gun. Legacy Sports is just the importer. The Citadels are serviced by the same people that service Rock Islands, in Pahrump Nevada.
