As some of us know, I was recently given a copy of Shotgunning, The art and The Science, Brister's masterwork. Even on the third reading, I marvel at the sheer enormity of all the information enclosed.

If one book on shotgunning can be had, this should be it.

Member TrapperReady contacted me about lending out his copy of the book to members here. I plan on doing the same.

So, two copies of the best book on shotgunning are available for YOU to read and learn from.

So, who wants to be first?

Brian - PM me with your mailing address and I'll send it out.

Update: My copy is on its way to Brian Williams. Sent Priority Mail 6/26/06. Should arrive in 2-3 days.

Dave McC - What are your thoughts on how this should work? Perhaps this thread could act as a waiting list and each person could simply mail the book to the next person who is interested in receiving it. It might be nice for people to respond when they've received it, when they've sent it out and to whom they've sent it (screen name only -- so that personal information remains as such). Also, should there be a generally accepted maximum amount of time the book(s) should be kept?

BTW, thanks for making this opportunity available!

I like the idea of using this as a waiting list. Saves me postage each and every time.

FYI, mine will be going first to Harley Nolden, since he E'd me today.

That may be a karmic payback, I've learned much on his forums here and at TFL.

if this works out, I may start lending out a few other books also.

Dave:

The book arrived today. Look forward to reading it. I will make the effort to shorten my reading so you can pass it on.

Take a look at your email.

JM

Sorry it took a while one cannot just speed read this.
Bristers is back on the shelf and ready for the next lending.
put your name in the list and Dave will tell me where to send it.

Dave although no need for me to borrow it, it's a fine gesture on your part for other forum members.

It's a real thrill to be able to help folks, Baker. Thanks....

And now, I'm adding a few items to what can be borrowed.

Breaking Clays, by Chris Batha.

If It Ain't Broke, Fix It, by Gil And Vicki Ash.

Same deal, tell me where to send it.....

Dave,

I'm adding my copy of Louis Awerbuck's VHS video _The Combat Shotgun_ to the lending library. It's a good overview of the basic portion of his class and imparts the flavor of his teaching style quite well. First request was from RM in Maryland, the video will be going out to him today if all goes well, and he can take care of the next request for it when he is finished.

Lee has been kind enough to add "Combat Shotgun" to the Lending Library. (see above) I will be happy to send this VHS video to the next interested person when I am done. You can PM me here or my email address is [email protected]. Thank you, Lee.

Dave - Does Ash's book have info about cross-dominance issues? IIRC Vicki suffers from that, but still shoots very well indeed. If it does, I may be interested for Mrs. Trapper.

Can someone keep a running tally of what is available, who has what, etc...

That way it is easy to see what is available. I'd like to borrow something I haven't ready yet, and offer up something...Let me look at my gun library.

Ed

Yes, TR. A chapter deals with dominance. PM me an address, I'll ship it post haste....

Ed, so far it hasn't been a prob keeping up with who has what,

I received "Combat Shotgun" from Lee Lavin who was kind enough to forward it to me. I will be ready to send it to someone else in 1-2 weeks. My email is
[email protected].

I would like to borrow the "combat shotgun" video tape when it is avaliable. Please email or PM when it is and I can give address to send it to. Thanks!

RM,

Please note that I invited tronny over from TFL, and that's why this is his first post. When you get done with "Mr. Hollywood," please send him the tape. Thanks!

lpl/nc

BrockB was next in line for "The Combat Shotgun," and I have shipped it to him. He agreed to forward it to tronny when he is done. (Brock requested the Video several days before tronny.)

No rush, BrockB. Take your time (realisticly speaking!)

If you could drop me an email or something I can get you my address when you're done with it. Thanks in advance
