SA Loaded Champion. Novak night sights, CTC LG-301 Lasergrips. Wolff springs throughout, Ed Brown thumb safety and reverse recoil plug. Wilson Bulletproof extractor and slide release lever, two-tone NP3.

I have a relative who just got his first 1911, a stainless Champion. It's a pretty gun and he shoots it well, but to me the trigger is very heavy and the pistol is also pretty heavy. I prefer my XSE Lightweight Commander or Colt CCO.

Any excuse to post gun pron!

:)

My Commander. Love it! The first .45 I've owned and it's great!

Not to be a negative nancy but that Colt looks a little more like a 5" government model than a commander...or do my eyes deceive me...?

Nice looking 1911 though!

Nope, it's a Commander. Here it is before I sent it off to Jason Burton at Heirloom Precision for a little touch up.

And here's a link to a little thread about it that Jason started over at Custom Knives and Guns: http://www.customknivesandguns.com/ckgforums/showthread.php?t=18762.

And here's a little article I wrote about the gun: http://ezine.m1911.org/showthread.php?t=4
