Bought a new blacksmithing hammer and wanted to break it in. Hammered out a blade without any real plan in mind, just having fun. Didn't think I'd finish it but after it sat in the shop for a couple days I decided it needed a handle and sheath. Need to do that more often. Blade steel is from a jeep leaf spring, handle is natural micarta.

Nice looking blade. At first glance,(and before second coffee..), that handle looked like osage.

Thanks, thats my first knife with the natural micarta. I stumbled across a chunk of it for about half the price of black micarta and decided to give it a try. It's a pretty ugly mix of orange and brown in the the flat sheet but once you start sanding its not bad looking.

I like it. The handle looks comfortable and functional, which is pretty damn important.

Thanks! Proportionally it looks a little long for the blade but it fits my hand very well. I've been gravitating towards larger handles on everything.

nice steel,gorgeous knives..I am a tad concerned to post my collection..I had to sell all my high dollar knives to survive a rough place some time ago...AND now most of my collection are imported china knives..No junk..i know..but i promise no junk great blades,i just don't get flamed or trolled for posting a collection of 95% imported china knives..The quality on the knives was a huge and pleasant surprise for me.

Top is a Schrade +601 , Camillus was given to me by High School buddy 1978 , I found it a few years ago in dad's garage rusted, molded . Grandpa's Case xx is still very sharp, a few other knives were given to my cousins. My Case XX SS and my fathers Case xx U.S.A, I had couple more that rusted very bad and broke
