It's a reference to an old HK brochure picture, where the rounds were loaded into the magazine backwards. Somehow, this slipped by all the HK elite operators and made it to print:

That one's one of the best gun photos I've taken. Unfortunately, I haven't had nearly as much time as I'd like to take more photos.

I did put my Millett red dot on, along with a heat shielded handguard I found at the gun show, and a curved butt pad. The sling is a carry over from the Appleseed course a few years ago.

The $$$ savings over a $900 AR went into reloading components.

Very nice. I'm definitely not a fan of tacticool trend and most of my AR:s are externally stock or early-style LMG/LSW, M203, XM etc. replicas. Some originals too. I should probably find time to take a group photo of my collection at some point.
