I have been a fan of Life Below Zero since it started, although I am not always sure why. My wife laughs at me, saying that every show is the same, with the characters saying over and over the same things about living in the wild and how they manage as subsistence hunters. She's right, but I still enjoy seeing the show. Watching the other night I saw that Chip is back, sort of. Everything I have read about his "crime" and imprisonment seems to show how unfair the criminal justice system can be, and that his becoming famous through this show might have caused the authorities to be extra harsh with him. But in any event, even though he was shown only for a few seconds, I guess he is back and we will see more of him in the future, and I think that this is a good thing.

I watched that same show, I believe, but it looked to me like it was made from out-takes of previous shows... so not so sure Chip is back.... At any rate, I'm a fan of that show. I've only visited Alaska once, some years ago now, to see up close how my brother was living (he's been up there almost forty years now, I believe - but a bit to the south, just north of Palmer...

I'm not likely to ever get back up that way - but I do enjoy watching folks who live a lot different than I do - I particularly enjoy watching them solve problems. That's from a guy who works in the Everglades some 3500 miles away...
