Checking one lgs who's been fairly reliable in getting a couple powders in yesterday, I found the shelf bare. 1 bottle of pyrodex. That's it. Browsing through their other items I mentioned (with understanding) that they had become my go to, and after some chit chat and whatnot, they DID say that their distributor planned on having regular powder supply back on the shelves by jun/July! I hope that this is true and that everyone will be so lucky, seeing bulk availability if 5.56 and .223 gives me hope that this is true.

There has always been a price uptick after each event.

Bad thing about this time, is all these bill's that have been passed to print more funny money. Everything is going to inflate in price.

Here is the order of which firearms-related stuff was consumed during this most recent panic: 1 firearms, 2 ammo, 3 reloading supplies, in that order.

I have seen firearms starting to fill to the shelves again so, in reverse order, I expect ammo followed by reloading supplies to follow.

Let’s hope a split Senate keeps things modulated on the legislative front.

powder has been (at least online and my area) easier to find for a few weeks now, but primers no dice. I think that powder is getting easier because everybody has more powder than primers. With not enough primers how much powder will you be getting. Three weeks ago I added 26 pounds with that I now have enough to out last my primers. A two year inventory is not enough anymore planning on keeping a 5-6 year supply in the future.

Between 2013-16, I acquired maybe 30 or better pounds of powder. That's not hard to do. Even know, though I'm setting healthy on primers, I would need nearly double the primers to match the powders.
My bullets to primers match up better. But now I'm into casting, so that is going to be out of whack now.
As Bugs would say, "Oh, the a-go-ny!"

If you want pyrodex you can order up to 5lb off midway USA dot com. You could order 5lb of pyrodex P, RS, five pounds of triple 7, ect.

The light at the end of the tunnel could be a train.

My local store had SPP for $7.99 a sleeve, SRP $6.99 and LMP in stock. Limit of 2 sleeves per person. But they had them. Had some powder too but very limited types. Had various brass and lots of bullets. Hopefully this means things are changing for the better!!
Bass Pro was still empty of everything.

Prices on SPPs and LPPs will show a sharp decline very shortly. I just stocked up on both at prices I would rather not disclose. The stock market works the same way with me.....

Eureka! I typed my post without even typing my post! It's deja vu all over again!

I've been buying powders as they have recently become available from Midway, Powder Valley and Midsouth. I maybe have enough powder to last the rest of my shooting days. However, as you say, unless one has the necessary primers (which, I do), powder isn't much use.

That has always been my business model with buying and selling guns, viz. buy high and sell low. Doing my part for the economy.
