Light strikes when shooting DA...

I now have the new spring installed and the tension screw backed out 1/2 turn.

...I think right now I am going to put some Locktite on it and see how it does. I can not see me further adjusting it unless it moves.

The screw was not intended to be used to adjust trigger pull weight at will. They do tend to get loose if not fully seated. Normally you figure out what works as far as tension on the mainspring, count the turns or measure how far the screw protrudes, and trim the screw so that it is fully seated while protruding that amount. Loctite might work well or not. Your grip might clear the not quite seated screw or not. If not you can trim the inner edge of the grip to clear. If it is a range only gun go for it. If it is a self defense piece then procede with caution until you prove that the Loctite will hold.

Thanks. I guess what I really need is a small shim or washer to go under the screw head. When I can get a new strain screw then I will. And consider filing after I have a couple of replacement screws in hand.

Dry the threads off with some brake cleaner, simple green, or similar, use a little blue LOCKTITE and fully tighten the screw.

If left loose, it can loosen more and cause a misfire when you need a BANG

Thank you sir and all others who responded. You turned out to be exactly right. As you already knew. After 1 range session the screw had moved a part of a turn out. The screw is now down solid and tight. The trigger pull is still good. Part of it is I am getting used to it. I never shot double action before the last 3 range sessions. Part of it may be some wearing or settling of the new spring.
