I've been rationing my reloading due to lack of funds lately, and it's cut back my shooting significantly. I was in the basement looking to see if perhaps I'd missed a box of bullets somehow but alas, my reloading supplies consist of powder and large pistol primers, but no bullets.

On my way back upstairs I happened to glance at another storage shelf and saw my name on a shipping label of a couple of boxes I didn't remember seeing there. I looked inside and found 1500 xtreme 230 grain RN bullets and 500 xtreme 147 RNs. I couldn't believe it. My wife must have had my kids take them down and put them there because she was tired of looking at them sitting on the floor in our entryway. They have been there since 2015 when we had a bit more spare dough. Guess I can shoot some 45 again at least! :)

Shot the first few dozen 230s through 4 1911s that haven't gotten much exercise lately, and a P220 and a Glock 41. The 1911s all liked this load but the G41 not so much. 4.9 W231, Xtreme 230 RN, 1.255", WLP.

I discovered 8 lbs of HP38 in a shop corner yesterday.
Last month I discovered 4 lbs of HP38 in my black powder storage.
I had thought I was down to my last pound and was contemplating going to Bullseye for all non-magnums, but it looks like it will be the other way 'round. I can't load .45 Minor as light with HP38 as with Bull, the velocity spread gets wider, but it will do.

I have a rule that if I find something I didn't remember I had it I get rid of it because if I would have needed it I wouldn't have known I had it anyway. Reloading components exempted of course.

What I usually do is put something in a different place on the shelf because there is some room to be used. So I put the different bullet/propellant/primer in the BACK because the front is in order for the use. Then months later I am "finding" something that I thought I was out of. That usually starts a cleaning and reorganizing binge---until I find that I need to use up some components, so I start to reload. Then--- Rinse and repeat.:D
