Read a good book once.

"Where is the weapon with which I enforce your bondage?
You give it to me every time you open your mouth." -- Frank Herbert

"The day hums sweetly -- if you have enough bees working for you." -- F.H.

No fancy catch phrases just a listing of the clubs I have membership in and an airplane site someone asked me to attatch.

The other info pertains to TFL membership.(TFL was closed at the time!)

My own signature is a chestnut from the fields of ethology, sociobiology, population biology, and other sciences, but I post here to say that I often log on just to see what pax currently has for a sig line. :)

I couldn't think of anything clever or deeply philosophical on my own. Plus Stephen Decatur is one of my favorite historical figures. Or at least one of my favoritve figures in the history or the U.S.Navy.

1. I am a Robert Ruark Fan.

2. Member of The Firing Line before it closed and has since re-opened

3. I am still trying to train THR Staff.
I earned my Reprobate Certificate from Old Fuff -

Old Fuff has yet to send me my Certificate.
THR just cannot seen to figure out how to put "Reprobate" under my username.

If want something done - sometimes you gotta do it yourself. :)

I added mine a long time ago. It was after some of the spelling/grammer Nazi's had been a little more active, than I cared to listen to, on the board. It's from a Pulitzer Prize winning writer.

First part of the first one because I am a strong believer in education and believe that today's educational system is sorely lacking in some areas - the second part because I am pro-military and I honestly do have a problem with illegal immigration. I also believe that both parts compliment one another.

The second came from a saying on a personalized license plate frame given to me by a beautiful young lady that became my wife.

Word.

I just lack the imagination & creativity & originality to come up w/ anything even remotely witty, politically pertinant or even just worth sticking next to my name as a sig line

Note: this may change - plagerism lives!

When we were fighting the Ït's a Crime, Bill," I closed my company and started a newsletter, which I called (TA-DA...) Armed and Safetm. I went out and roused the rabble, lettered the editors, arm twisted politicians and generally made a nuisance of myself. We lost and I was never able to get my company started back up again. It was worth the effort, though.

Others I just tack on as they strike my fancy.

I saw mine on the back of Charlie Daniels' album Steel Witness. I take it to mean stand strong for the things in which you believe--which for me is God, Family, Country.

Plus, it is a very good album.

I started changing mine for variety's sake and because the mods got sick of them. The current one is from Death to Smoochie, a surreal journey through the depths of childrens' edutainment. It is apt, in that it refers to doing things, "For the Children...", the cry of the liberal weenie gun grabbing Socialist. In this case, the bad guy winds up falling afoul of the Irish mafia and suffering a Brothers Grimm inspired fate.

Quote:
Merv Green: It was a mistake! an Honest mistake! I only did it to help the Children!
Tommy: You like kids, eh?
Merv Green: Yes!
Tommy: You like fairy tales, then?
Merv Green: Yeah!
Tommy: Jimmy, tell him the one about the worthless pr*** that got his head chopped off with an axe.
