All the horse power in the world won't make up for poor shot placement. But in the real world shot placement often can't make up for lack of horse power. It takes a judicious application of both in concert to get the job done on occasion......

Interesting opinions.

Regardless of a canned hunt or anything else! The guy took a charge from a full grown lion! Hello!!!

From watching the video if the lion had not taken a bullet just prior to the leap the first shooter might have lost his head.

Dangerous game hunting is dangerous. I fail to understand those of you who are rooting for the lion. If the lion had been hunting you, I am sure his friends would not have been rooting for you. Actually they would have be fighting over eating you.

Death is death and I find it amazing the number of people who would condemn this guy for hunting, then turn around and talk about how they would shoot this mugger or that mugger. In either case you are in harms way and this video teaches you about being "cool" under pressure. and they still missed 11 times. Now imagine that the cat could shoot back instead of charge.

Hunting is hunting. Accept the video for what it is and learn something. I think I would have had to really fight the FLIGHT part of human nature and I felt the pucker just from watching the video!

Gun rights are across the board. Most people on THR understand the intention of the 2nd amendment. If this video troubles you so much, should the day come, how will you ever use your weapon?

The disconnect between shooters and hunters is really shocking to me. I just about left this forum after some of the stuff I read from self proclaimed straight thinking freedom minded Americans on this site..It really just blew me away...
