Are Lionheart pistols still a thing? I've got a full size Daewoo, am interested in getting s similar gun but in the compact size.

I can't really tell from their website what exactly is going on with them. Maybe still producing pistols?

Anybody have a Lionheart or have experience with the company?
Thanks!

There are no Lionheart pistols for sale on GunBroker, which is a bad sign. Just a couple of magazines. And only one Daewoo pistol, a DH40. (A second gun comes up in Semi-Auto Pistols if you search for Daewoo, but only because the seller stuffed the listing full of unrelated names to get more eyeballs on his auction. I hate it when people do that.)

I have a DH40 and a Daewoo 380. They are both OK guns, but I have not shot them a lot. I got the DH40 for the unusual trigger mechanism - I think they call it the "Fast Action". I don't have a good excuse for the 380.

They exist.

Check out their Instagram, if you're on the 'Gram, it's where they have a constant presence.

They also just moved to Georgia, I think. So they have been getting their factory/shop up and running this year.

Basically, they are focused on making their "Regulus" line which is the Daewoo action but made in the USA and marketed as a custom premium gun. Not sure how that will sell.

I think they just announced yesterday, actually, that they have some LH guns ready to ship. I'm guessing it's the base model Korean ones.

As far as I can tell, they will be doing base LH (imports) and high end Regulus (USA made) guns in the future.

I say this as someone who always wanted one, never got one, and wish I wasn't a poor college kid when they used to run those insane Black Friday sales like 8 years ago.

Thanks for the answers! I really wouldn't be interested in the Regulus line I don't thing. Just want a straight production gun.

Like Monac, I have a DH-40, bought on a whim as I was curious about the action. Wanting a smaller version for possible carry.

I had the 9mm compact. It was mokay, but not anything special. The magazines were sorta, kinda interchangeable with Smith and Wesson 3rd Gens, and factory mags were hard to find at the time. Jams were not unheard of, even with FMJ.

My verdict was it was a weird love child of a Beretta and a S&W, but inferior to either of its parents.

I have a full size one from the early days. good gun overall, but the mags were terrible. have many that didnt work right. didn't hold slide open. wasn't a spring issue more a poor tolerance issue. years ago I had to contact the lionheart fella and he gave me advice on how to modify them. i decided to grab some Daewoo mags instead. the daewoo mags fit and work but aren't flush.

lionheart have seemed to struggle from the getgo from what I've seen. shame too as the daewoo is a decent gun overall. its action is pretty cool with the flip up hammer and pull trigger and retracts hammer back into a single action feel sort of.

I wouldn't by another any size due to mag issues I've had with them. left bad taste in my mouth.

Youtube reviews on current models are very favorable. No one mentions magazine problems in the current production. Reliability seems 100%.
It's a nicely machined pistol for what I saw.
The trigger sistem is very unique and interesting.
Unfortunately I don't have first hand experience to share.
