This is Episode 2 of ammo testing with the Lithgow and CZ455 with Walther Barrel. This time my buddy DM decided he wanted a piece of the action and wants to find out what shoots best in one of his rifles. Many are heralding this rifle as the most accurate 22LR ever built.

So far between the Eley Tenex and the Eley match I am preferring the Eley Match as it is much more consistent. Think it i time to move on to Lapua.

The ammo comparisons are interesting and tge Lithgow is a beautiful rifle.
Good groups. I wouldn't call it most accurate ever built. If your not holding under .25" 5 shot groups at 50 yds with premium ammo it's nothing special. In my personal opinion.
Here's a target shot with a 70+ year old Winchester 75 using Wolf Match ammo for the Saw Dust Challenge.

I had a question regarding the Lithgow. Most sites say Howa next to the references to the rifle. What is the relationship there? And thanks for sharing the review Revolverguy. Maybe you might want a new name 22guy :D.

Excellent shooting!!! Prove It.png

Best I could ever do with my 10-22 at 50 yards.

DMVudooWOW.jpg Great target and great shooting. The Vudoo is at the end of the video as the Surprise :) I guess I should not be a script writer huh lol.

This is what the Vudoo did with CenterX after cleaning which was after I did the video so I am harassing him about giving me a dirty rifle sabotaging my groups.

Excellent shooting, with a 10/22 no less.
So what was your aiming point? Center of the square or a corner ?

I'm a center-shot guy. The scope is 14x max variable. I did a lot of things to the rifle to get it to shoot accurately, kind of a test-bed for various improvements years ago that may have actually made it to production rifles by folks other than Ruger. Significant mods include a Shilen bull barrel, first-shot flyer elimination caused by operating handle (was binding the free firing pin movement), glassbedding action and a couple of inches at the rear of barrel, pressure point in forend enhances accuracy and provides rear of action down-pressure. Trigger enhancements including lightened pull and trigger stop. Bolt-face milling for more consistent ignition. Extractor tuning - for ejection improvement after bolt face milling.
