As you may now, for a couple of years now, the media try to make the people believe that they are unsafe, only because each male incorporated in the Swiss Army Milita keep is issued SIG550 at home...
here is mine shot by my friend Darryl, from Houston when he came to Geneva for a buisness trip !

hkagsi10.jpg

They use lies, try to scare people, and describe the guns as mother of all Evils, when at the same time they want to legalize a bunch of drugs... guess what... i don't like prohibitions... even more when it's about guns.. And I cannot stand that they have such paradoxal political positions. (lefties)

Please vote and help us to make them know we are a lot out there to think that responsible citizens, even more militia soldiers MUST keep their issued rifle at home.. otherwise the militia concept is dead..

here is the poll

http://www.24heures.ch/sondages

L'arme de service du soldat suisse devrait être (the weapon of the soldier should stay..) (look for the EVIL GREEN RIFLE pointing at you..)

and vote for the 1st choice :

conservée à domicile ? (at home) (watch the text in case they change the positions of choices)

We all thank you for your help !

What I think is really demonstrative is that Israeli soldiers pack their assault rifles around with them on the public streets. They hitch-hike with the guns and people give them rides!

And in a public square in Israel, some looney threatened to detonate some sort of explosive device. Armed civilians pulled out their CCW's and took him out!

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State . . . "

I think this is what the founders had in mind.

we are gettin back.. when there was 200 voters we had only 12% ;)

thx guys..

btw, as in Israel, here you can meet soldiers with their rifles, in the street, train, bus, etc etc..

alert!!

Make sure you copy and past the address into your address bar so they can't see that all these votes are coming from this website!!!
When you click on a link embedded in a website like this, they can SEE where the voter was directed from.

anyway, the poll doesn't say : What Swiss people only think about Swiss soldiers... )
Yea but come on, that is the INTENT though and we all know it. I want to beat them with their own rules. I want them to think that SWISS soldiers and their families want to keep their guns at home (which is true).

it's a wet dream.. ;)

we've seen it in the past, in the same websites.. as soon as the poll result doesnt match their ideology anymore, the poll misteriously disappear.. sometimes they even scream about "hackers" or so who ruined their polls ;)

Btw, I joined the NRA 10 days ago.. i did my part overseas ;)

Funny stuff. The poll has added an option:
l'arme doit rester à la maison 79.4%

il faut de toute façon abolir l'armée 1.6%

Pour un total de 63 vote(s)
Approximately "The army must be completely abolished", and currently the number of votes is 63 - seems that the counter has been reset.

The whole issue strikes me as paradoxical. If my reading of modern history is correct, Switzerland's militia, not its neutrality, is the reason no one dares to invade. One would think the majority of its citizens would be very conscious of that fact.

I bought a Swiss assault rifle today. At least, it was the most advanced combat rifle in the world when it was introduced.... in 1871! Now if I can just find more .41 Swiss rimfire ammo!

voted, first poll we are winning.

best of luck my friend. the Swiss are one of the few strong holds of reason and self reliance left in Europe.

thank you guys ! please feel free to vote again after 24h... no need to erase your cookies.. 1 vote a day is allowed ! this morning they cheated on the vote and added more than 500 in a minute..

The current scores:

L'arme de service du soldat suisse devrait être

conservée à domicile ? :
////////////////////// 34 %

déposée volontairement à l'arsenal ? :
/////// 11 %

déposée systématiquement à l'arsenal ? :
////////////////////////////////// 55 %

Le dépôt des armes de service à l'arsenal doit-il être:

obligatoire
///////////////////// 21.3%
facultatif
//////// 8.8%
l'arme doit rester à la maison
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 64.4%
il faut de toute façon abolir l'armée
////// 5.6%

Pour un total de 216 vote(s)

Is there a poll about hollow point or expanding ammo as well?

Btw, I joined the NRA 10 days ago.. i did my part overseas
Thanks, foreign dude!

This poll is a waste of time because both sides must know that you can keep voting over and over.

Make sure you copy and past the address into your address bar so they can't see that all these votes are coming from this website!!! When you click on a link embedded in a website like this, they can SEE where the voter was directed from.

Copy/paste into the address bar doesn't change your HTTP_REFERRER - you have to go to a new window/tab.

Did my bit, hope it all stays good for you folks. I think it's a real shame the liberals in your country want to destroy a great tradition, bad enough they made you join the U.N.(the biggest joke i've seen).

Too bad our founding fathers(the U.S.) like Henry Clay, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Hancock, John Adams, who loved the Swiss model of democracy and militia didn't get their way and build a similar system for us. Liberals nowadays (there have been some good ones, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Ulysses S. Grant, Truman(desegregating the military)) are dangerous no matter where they are.

0O0Y: Sorry but I tried to help Shung and voted Yes, "conservee...domicile".
The Swiss might want to print it 'auf deutsch' also.

How do you copy and paste an address? If you could clearly describe the steps, I will try again to help him.

PS: I don't know how to put photos on the Internet or record music etc, (but can take Mini 14/30 apart quickly).

Shung, when staying at Balmer's Jugenherberge in '89 at Interlaken, while taking a bike ride I saw some fighter jets taking off from a small camouflaged base in a small nearby valley.

Yeah... actually the runways are in the valley, but we have caves that make good shelters for the airplanes, inside the mountain. We nowadays fly F-5E/Fs and F/A-18C/Ds

You have at least 2 airbases in the vicinity of Interlaken. I am in the airforce, and I was partly formed in one of these.

by the time you were there, Fighter jets were wether british "Hunter", french Mirage III, or Tiger II

this picture was taken in boot camp (recruit school), when we still stayed away from the airplanes

ghostdecon.jpg

the tape on magazines is because we just had used our rifles in an excercize (in which we had to aim at each others), and that the guns had been previously checked and secured "cold"..
