That’s generally my problem
Most of the time it is or the conditions changed and you did not see it.
I skipped the May event to work on my Cabin but it is time to check my tune and load my gear for this weekends match.
The weather has changed from mid 30s to now in the mid 80s so most fellas know how that can wreck a good shooting load.
I have two of each charge plus two foulers for both test.
Blue -30.4 xxx
Mixed cloud & sun
Not the best groups of course, 30.4 looks safe while 30.7 has potential to be great but also risky.
I made it back out this morning to have another look at 30.4 (blue) and 30.7 (red), after three foulers I shot four record rounds then wait till the flags became similar to repeat.
The obvious stand out is 30.7 .. Not sure what's up with that but small is small. Ill try to get one more look before we head out later this week.
the overlapping 30.7..time to load up.
I had a fairly good weekend except for a few unexplained flyers on Saturday, thx to Alex Wheeler for spotting something in the ignition, mostly fixable on site save for a replacement FP spring and a touch more pin fall needed but my tune is good enough for the moment.
Here are the results from today's match, you may notice a pending world record was shot by Glenn Kulzer on the same relay as me... 10 shots 2.695. 100 points
Saturday: HG 14th. LG 20th
Sunday: HG 15th. LG 8th
Not to diminish your shooting, but HOLY COW, a 2.695" 10 shot group at 1000yrds!?
Ya wanna see it ?
The whole Deep Creek gang with Glenn in the forefront.
I heard the flip flops and matching shorts are one of the keys to success.
So after my rifle smith/range mate made some adjustments to my rifle the other day i broke out a new lot number of bullets and had a look.
It appears and without a ton of rounds that 30.7 will be the same poi and very small as well.
More to follow
