So I walked into Pinto's for a brick of large pistol primers, but what to my wondering eyes should appear? A 6" Dan Wesson 15-2 HB... for $325?! Of course I had to check it out; I mean, what's wrong with it? Not much as it turns out. They got it cheap, there's no barrel wrench, spare barrels or grips and it has the 'undesirable' rubber grip. Only mild wear, locks up like a bank vault, fantastic trigger, pristine bores and chambers. Shut up and take my money!

I'll be picking up a barrel-wrench and looking for a short barrel to complement this one, and I think I see a set of custom Desert Ironwood grips in this gun's future. I've been wanting another DW since approximately 2 minutes after I sold mine back in the '80s.

Hmmmm....
Trying to find fault here...kinda hard...
Ventilated rib is great
Full length underlug is classy
Adjustable sights are good
Dan Wesson accuracy is incredible
Blued steel is right for a wheelgun

Ooooh...I found fault. Those ugly grips gotta go.

Awesome... I would not have left it there either... The rubber grips are very shootable on that gun- do not discount them.

I bought a frame alone for $350.00 about 2 years ago, and put on a 3" VH EWK barrel/shroud that I had on hand for my other DW-15. A 6" VH for $325.00 in good shape? WOW!

Excellent buy!! I would've snapped that one up myself (even though I already have 2) just on principle!

Keep looking for .357 Barrel/Shrouds on sale. They're pricey sometimes, but they're out there and each different length/shroud style helps make every DW so very special.

Stay safe!

Years ago I had a 2" barreled one that I picked up for under $200 IIRC. Thought I stole it BUT the thing took two fingers to pull the trigger and had timing problems. Tried to clean things up and after many hours and more than I wanted to spend, replacement internal parts gave up on it. Swapped it for a Uberti 45 Colt reproduction with full disclosure. I KNOW I got the better end of that deal. Sweet deal you got there even with those "ahem" grips.

I still kick myself for buying a Glock 21 instead of a cherry DW 15-2 that cabelas had for $350 a couple years ago.

I wasn't very well versed and unsure if it was the switch barrel or not and decided I had enough 357's and needed a double stack 45 instead.

I'm such an idiot.
