Looking for a Glock 19 Gen4 (don't laugh)

I live in Colorado (just to illustrate my day-to-day struggles these days). My neighbor has never owned a gun but he wants on the bandwagon! We went and shot some of mine and he wants a Glock 19 Gen 4. IMHO the best choice for him, nice all round excellent gun.

Now the real problem: WHERE CAN WE FIND ONE?? I am posting on the forums i visit and participate in, hoping that someone can let me know if they saw one laying at a shop in Colorado or online without the dreaded "out of stock" phrase..

(and I didn't post this to be laughed at, I know I'm asking the impossible, so please keep digs and such to yourself, thanks)
 
GunBroker.com will give you the most availability right now, you can find anything you want on that site, be it guns, ammo, mags, or anything else gun-related. Of course, all prices are inflated right now, you will pay $600+ (with shipping) for said Glock 19. But if spending a little more is not a big deal, that site will probably be the quickest route to finding what you want.

Alternatively, you could see if there is a Colorado-specific buy/sell/trade website (we have a big one here in FL), but given the current conditions in CO I doubt you will save much, if anything, vs. buying via the internet and transferring to a local FFL.

Thanks for your reply. My buddy is in a state of mind that he'd probably drop a grand lol. I am just trying to get him a fair deal. Once we have the gun, I'm going to have to start training him from the ground up.
 
None in stock everywhere I've checked. A few 23s, and 21s, and a 17 gen 3 or 4, and surprisingly a 25th anniversay 17.

The 19 is the most sought after. It seems to me this whole gun ban thing is falling apart as we speak on the national level, so I'd just be patient.

I know one store near me got in a shipment of 35 guns from Glock...not like they aren't making them.

My Sig order probably won't show up for a year...lol
 
The Scheels in cedar falls, iowa had some Gen 4's tonight when I was there. Where running 579 new so if you have one in your area you could always have them put you on a list and they will call when they get some more in if there currently out of stock.
 
I placed an order for one through my LGS.. Like yourself, I was having difficulty finding one for my wife (her pick).. There was no promise or even best guess on when I would receive it thou.

When I lived in CO I often did my browsing here. A quick search of the private party section shows no Glock 19s for sale, but there is a G23. If worse came to worse your friend could buy that and convert it to 9mm. And of course there's the commercial sections to look at.

I've been looking for another G22 for some time now. I called around to a few LGS and was told it is very hit or miss. I called a LEO only store out here and they said they can order one for me but it'd be 4 weeks. Happened to stop by a LGS 2 blocks away from my job to pick up some primers and they had one in stock!
If I were you I'd try hitting a few of your LGS. When you are in there, ask what day their shipments come in. Good luck to you!
 
Picked up a 21 last week at my LGS, they had gen4 19's in stock.
Check their website, gtdist.com
Great pricing for military, LEO, EMS, really any public service field active, reserve, or retired.
