Looking for a gun store...

...in the Jacksonville Florida area. I'm new in the area and haven't found much of interest. There's a shop on University Ave that carries a small selection of smokeless powders (no black, apparently) but that's about it. Nothing else for reloaders. Not many places to shoot either, except a few indoor ranges. {And I hate indoor ranges.)

Lived in J'ville in the mid-80's in my teens...I remember going to Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club with my dad. Just checked website and Google maps...looks like it's still in operation?

Black powder is hard to find. I mail order mine and take advantage of specials when they have free hazmat or shipping. Same with reloading supplies or equipment. I live in the rural area of the panhandle of FL so shooting on my own property is not a problem. Before moving from S. FL, I did a lot of looking for a property to meet the needs of my hobby, I ended up with 35 acres with a ready built range with shelter, skeet tower, outbuildings and a 3-bedroom brick house for less money than a house on a small lot is S. Florida.

I shot two state matches for lever gun rimfire silhouette in 2019 and 2021. Nice facility, friendly people. There was supposed to be a 2023 state and regional match but it was cancelled due to low participation.
