It could be, though I usually just provide prints of the items to the owners. Depending on the travel involved, I can defray some costs.

I live just south of Memphis .. except no Match lock or Wheel lock . several hand made long rifles ..real works of art and craftsmanship.

If you'd like to come up to Nashville, I'll cover gas and lunch...and you'd get photos. It would have to be later this summer or early in the Fall, on a Sunday or Monday-Wednesday morning/day.

Those are some great pictures.....

Too bad You missed the ODB Shutzenfest that was held not too far from You at the Farm that belongs to a Freind of mine.

Consider contacting the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville. I'm sure they'll appreciate some free photos for their curatorial files.

I did a shoot int heir modern section. They let me bring lights in. The recessed glass cases made good results impossible. The modern branch might be better.

You might check out Dixie, I think they have a museum. I don't know how far from you they are tho.

Oleg: ask the Museum for a list of their collection and if it's not on display or loaned out, offer to take new curatorial photos. Most museums only have about 5% of their collection exhibited.
