Looking for cc revolver

My go to revolver is a S&W 642-2 Airweight.
I pocket carry it in a Desantis B2 holster.

Shorter barreled revolvers are made for up close and personal defensive use where sights aren't really as important. If your worried about longer shots, I'd look into a longer barrel or semi auto pistol with a RDS

personally going to stay with the Ruger LCR models.

Have given some thought to an LCRx 3", but i mostly pocket carry.

Have you tried some nail polish to make that front sight more visible? I ended up cleaning the sight with alcohol and then putting two coats of some cheap dollar store orange nail polish on the entire front sight ramp, and then put a coat of clear nail polish over the orange. Let it dry a day between coats. Have not had to touch it up in 4 years despite pocket carry.

S&W has some J frames with fiber optic front sight or dovetail front and rear.

But I would (DO!) try paint first. I saw a M60 with M38 hammer, alleged to be meant as Policewoman issue with the front blade painted orange and the rear hogwallow boxed in with mint green. I just have orange on my fronts.

It really is a personal decision. If you are comfortable with your SP101 and want longer sight radius maybe a 3" SP101 would fit the bill, or a Taurus 856 3" model. The Colt KCs are vey nice as well. If it were for me I'd probably go with one of the 6 shooters for the belt. For any of them though, today's initial quality is spotty, so I would hand inspect before buying. A smith K frame should be in the running, and I'd prefer that, but 3" models seem rare, this being the only one listed: https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/k-frame-12039. Expensive. If you go for L frame, the weight is a good or bad thing, but the pricing is not quite as high and a 686+ in 3" might be real nice for more than just belted CCW, even at 36 ounces empty.

Get any revolver you want and mount a miniature reflex sight (RMR, SRO, ACRO, etc.). They're easy to mount on revolvers that are drilled and tapped for a rear sight using an adapter plate. For example, any late model (last 25 years) S&W K, L, or N frame with adjustable rear sight will take one of these plates from Trijicon, Allchin, EGW, Apex, and more...

That is nice. but I'm not looking for a pocket gun. I want a 3" barrel and want rear and front sight hammerless would be nice to

Don't forget German Korth Carry Dpecial 2.75" offered through Nighthawk Custom.
