There are these:

Either of these should put an end to a feral pigeon. The Urban is make in the UK by BSA (owned by Gamo) and has a superbly made barrel and it is essentially an all metal rifle, very high quality. The new Arrow is mostly plastic but reports are it too is accurate. It is not a BSA made rifle. Both will need a pump or other high pressure air source to operate them. No recoil, very quiet, very accurate. The Urban runs around 22 to 30 fpe depending on how it is set up. I think the Arrow is running around 18 fpe (foot pounds of energy) as delivered.

Consider that CCI .22 CB Short is 32 fpe at the muzzle, the Gamo Urban is right there at reaching up to 30 fpe. Most of your little springers in the .177 size and even .22 are running about 12 fpe. A healthy Benjamin 392 at 8 pumps is about 14 to16 fpe.

I've had an RWS model 36 for about 30 years. It's break action springer and shoots 1" at 25 yds. I believe it's around 800 fps but I've never measured it. I've potted a few gray squirrels with it. DRT. I'm sure I wouldn't pay for an RWS these days because by the time you put a scope on it probably close to 1K.

I think Ruger has a model but I know nothing about them.

I've a TX200 AirArms and it's squirrel eye 30 Yd. accurate with JSB Exact Diabolo's .
I also shoot RWS Super points but they're not as accurate as JSB .
Had a RWS Diana model 34 for years ,sold it to a friend who had varmint problems . Gave a Gamo Big Cat to a Better Friend with a fixed 6 power older Weaver scope . Abysmal accuracy out of that Gamo ,however Jack being a machinist extraordinaire actually got it to shoot decently and thus his crow and squirrel problems disappeared . I despised that gun as it was supposedly 1250 Fps but seriously question that . With 7.2 Gr. JSB about 970's Fps was ALL it could do . MY TX200 is 925-950 Fps with superior accuracy by far .

Here's a rule of thumb some REAL air weapons experts imparted to Me . A .177 Cal. 800 Fps. rifle is Squirrel dead 0 -45 Yd. . Now if it doesn't do that , it's in need of a seal kit or You have Sumatran bamboo rat's and A: need glasses or B. a BIGGER CALIBER or C: BOTH :D

IMHO this is a case where you do get what you pay for. Just about all I shoot are JSB and H&N.

I definately like JSB and H&N's and buy n use them but the crosmans were fine for just plinking and were fine for short n medium range pesting practice at half the cost... I still have several of the cardboard premium premier .20's in my supplies for serious uses.I guess I like cheaper options also. I get freat results pesting with the .22 premier hollow points and the domes if I wanna spend a bit more.
