A while ago I was reading an article on a mousegun the author had. I can't recall what it was exactly, but I think it might have been a 1903 Hammerless or a similar weapon.
Anyway the author was going on how the weapon had a bunch of fairly "modern" modifications to it, like forward cocking serrations, front strap chequering, redifined sights, and a couple of other tricks which i can't recall (which is why I want the article again )
The thing the author said was the gun was like this when he picked it up like 30 years ago, and the previous owner said it was like that all the years he'd had it, meaning these mods were done a little after or even during WWII.
Anyone know or have an idea about what I'm talking about?
