I'm curious if anyone has a list of different calibers of cartridges. From small to big.Really hope there is a list on the net that would have pictures also..But don't think that is going to happen.I'm really interested in big bore calibers but really would like to have a list of all. Thanks for your time.

Maybe even something that had measurements of the cartridge.

A copy of Small Arms of the World has all that info in the back on the military type calibers.

The best general book is Cartridges of the World. Pictures, descriptions, dimensions, some load data. It doesn't have every single cartridge or every tidbit of information but it is a good place to start.

Cartridges of the World is a great addition to your library. Not everything, there are wildcats and screwy odd balls that aren't covered, but probably one of the best sources. On old rounds PO Ackley books are very good also.

Cartridges of the world gives a pretty good development history of the individual cartridges and some well informed opinions as well.
