I would like to find a range in the Northern Virgina/Maryland area that would be open tomorrow (Columbus day), I would like to make it a day trip. I would like to find a place that I can shoot over 100 yds, both rifle and pistol. I prefer to use my own ammo, and I would like to set up a chronograph.

I've read this link about ranges. I've been tho the NRA HQ, but it's closed on Monday. Been to Del Marva, but if I could find a place closer that would be great. I have read about the Cove, and may consider it, any other suggestions would be appreciated.

You can try Blue Ridge Arsenal, it's been a lot of years since I've been there, so I dont remember a lot.

I always go to Clark Brothers in Opal. You have to buy their ammo and targets to use on the range, but there is no cost for range time.

You might want to look at "The Range" in Fredericksburg, Va, however it is only a 25 yd indoor pistol range. Nothing fancy, just an inexpensive place to shoot.

No such place exists. The only outdoor public rifle range in the D.C. metro area is Clark Brothers in Opal, VA. You are required to buy their ridiculously overpriced ammo. The only other public range that allows rifles is the NRA headquarters and its a indoor 50 yard range.
