Looks like Paul Harrell is coming to the end of his road...

I just used one of his videos yesterday to help explain to a student the mass array of shot sizes and I have been watching him for years. I don't think I can watch his I'm Dead video for awhile and keep it together. He was such a wonderful wealth of knowledge for me that whenever I saw two videos he would put up with Long Version and short version in the titles, I always opted for long.

I’m not at all one that utilizes YouTube. I am a bit of a dinosaur. But, his were one of the very few videos that I have seen as they were used in a training session I was at. Definitely not exactly what I would call the big social media splash act, his stuff was actually worth something.
As I would say about anyone, thoughts and prayers with the family.

You know someone was special when days after you still feel sad.

Even the shooting sport/hobby doesn't feel as good now. Youtube especially feels lesser because now I rarely will see a must see video in my subs while every Paul Harrell video was must see.

RIP, this one hits harder than I thought it would.

Am a music and art guy and have never been into celebrity.
Not nostalgic either.

People and YT channels come and go.

Be glad he left a body of work.

Just noticed his final video in my notifications from 2 days ago, I was just about to announce his passing to my household but realized none of them will know who the heck Paul Harrell is, even though he's been background noise in my house off and on for years..... He was a good one. RIP paul.

As the "I'm dead" video was recorded last December, he doesn't show the ravages of the cancer that started showing 3-4 months ago.
He was one of the few YT providers that I watched as videos don't work well on my DSL.

I think the human race just lost a soldier and one heck of a good guy , and now we all know Paul is missing
" Godspeed Paul Harrell God speed " ..........Paul Harrell scores a 10 on my good guy scale X 2 ....

Roy had an interview with a local (to them) Fox affiliate, saw the video posted while on lunch today. Sounds like theres a possibility of a new video this next week. I won't be surprised if it takes longer than that, just because of what he is going through right now with Paul's passing.

Roy isn't Paul and honestly, it's grating to sit thru Roy's videos. When Jeff Quinn of Gunblast died, Boge was capable of taking over and being acceptable to sit thru. Unfortunately, Roy lacks any sense of charisma and I don't think he really wants to be in front of the camera.

I'm not trying to be mean, but a Roy Harrell youtube channel doesn't interest me.

Same here. Some people just have “It” and from what I’ve seen of Roy on camera, he doesn’t. I’m sure he is a fine man but not everybody can carry a tune.

Those two guys aren't even in the same league. I find it heretical to even mention that other guy's name in comparison to Paul Harrell.
I don’t know about that. Paul surely beat Hickock with his military background, but Hickock is no slouch, and I’ve never seen Paul hit a gong 80 yards away with a snubby revolver. Not disparaging the man one bit. He was a legend and he will be missed, but I’d put Hickock in the same league as Paul any day of the week. They’re both YouTube giants and both are excellent representatives of proper gun owners. 95% of the gun videos on YouTube are trash.

It was Paul's wishes for Roy to take over the channel. No he isn't Paul, but regardless. Tactical Response is still doing their videos without James Yeager 2 years since his passing. Never cared for that guy, he needed an ego check.
