Looks like the ammo shortage is even hitting BP.

Went to Sportsperson's Warehouse today and they didn't have any CF ammo!!! So i went to the BP section to buy some lead balls and they had no 451s or 454s. They did have 457s at $18 for a hundred. That is steep but i bought a box. No percussion caps either.

People are hoarding all kinds of ammo. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Anything shootable has been snatched
up here for a good while. Archery, black
powder firearms and accessories, air
rifles and pistols, slingshots, etc.
Literally anything.
At one point, the sporting goods sections
of all the local department stores were
sold out of all their knives, and any
large kitchen knives in the housewares
section

Black powder is scarce. Today our Academy store had no Pyrodex or Triple Seven. Number 11 caps are nearly unobtanium. One online vendor of black powder wants $130.00 for 1,000 number 11 caps.

i'm well stocked.

End of last week I was delighted to find plenty of black powder at Graffs and Sons at 21.oo lb. I bought four lbs. I think it is much easier to find bp than smokeless, but the most bp shooters dont shoot up many rounds in a session. Luckily I have enough primers for some time. I am finding shotgun style primers but #11s are tough to find.

Everything is getting scarce. The shortages aren’t as bad for .380 roundball, since everyone is convinced the .36 is a peashooter, despite all evidence to the contrary, but caps and powder are flying off the shelves and not getting restocked as far as I can tell.

I cast in my garage as well, with the doors open. That’s good enough. I have a small fan too. No reason why you couldn’t cast on your porch/balcony.

That's exactly what I do. I fire up the Coleman stove, and cast all I need. Right on my patio at the apartment. Most people walking by just think I'm BBQ'ing.

$40/72 at a local pawn shop. Not great, but I've literally never been able to find ammo locally.
That's a decent price (by today's standards); However, bit of a drive from WNC! Guess I'll keep front stuffin' for now. :)
