Just as the title asks. Where can I find the cheapest plinking/practice .38spl (or even .357) ammo online? Please dont rant about reloading, I dont and I wont. I'd like to see the deals people are finding. I'd prefer copper jacket, but lead is ok too. I just ordered 1,000rds of reload leaders for $130 shipped, can anyone beat that?

One of the best prices right now for practice/plinking ammunition is on WCC 130-gr round nose ball FMJ that you can BUY HERE for $9.95 per box. It's probably at least 10-20 years old but would be just fine for shooting fun.

At the same web site you can get new production S&B 158-gr LSWC for around $11.95 per box (of 50).

Federal American Eagle 158-gr LRN is a very gentle round (760-fps) for casual fun. But it's around $14.50/box right now at Able Ammo .

Federal American Eagle 130-gr FMJ is $15/box at KY Imports. .

You can get a nice, and inexpensive, LSWC from Georgia Arms that is in their reloaded line of ammunition. I've chronographed their ammo and it's some of the best in the industry.

Their reloaded 158-gr LSWC which would mimic the Remington FBI load but not hollow point is only $9.75/50 .

You might also look into their copper plated 158-gr lead semi-wadcutter bullet (800-fps) HERE that comes to about $11 per box of 50.

I hope this helps as far as finding casual practice / plinking ammo.

I like ammoman.com. They have great deals, the shipping is included in the price, and they consistently sell ammo for cheaper than I can buy locally. Their inventory changes almost daily, so it is worth checking in often if you are looking for deals.

Gerogia Arms

These guys sell 50 rds of their version of the FBI load for $ 9.75 which is pretty good for practice, if thats the round you normally carry.
