The Intratec Tec-9 is not a Luger.

Most of them that are legal to own fire from a closed bolt, and by design, and do not have full-auto capability. They are semi-automatics just like any other pistol.

If you do have one that is full-auto capable, you better make darn sure it is registered with the ATF and you have the tax stamp & paperwork for it.

If you don't, it is a Federal offense under the 1934 National Firearms Act.

Violations of the Act are punishable by up to 10 years in federal prison, and the individual's right to own or possess firearms in the future. The Act provides for a penalty of $10,000 for certain violations.

10 years for manufactiruing, 10 years for not registering, 10 years for possession, and it isn't always in Club Fed, I know a few in state pens. Tech 9 is junk, had one guy come up to me at the gunshop I worked at years ago with one that had broken in two, across that cast frame just in front of the magwell - asked if I could GLUE it back together! Told him he now had an ugly paperweight.

I really hope this is a Troll posting or the OP is saying it that it won't chamber a round after firing and the bolt has to be worked manually.

FWIW as I recall on the POS Tec I had it was labelled 9MM Luger in rather large letters so the OP might have thougt Luger was a model designation rather than the chambering.

If your friend has legally registered Full Auto Tec 9 then he truly wasted money on an NFA weapon. I'd take a Sten any day over one of these misfeeding piles of Donkey excrement. I believe that Intratec weapons have probably saved more people than any firearm by malfunctioning in Drive bys, attempted gang killings etc.
