Their manuals are good for any reloader no matter how long you've been loading. No matter how much you think you know once in a while you find something new you didn't know about.

I've got Lyman reloading manual and Cast bullet manual, bought new, from around 1980 and more recently bought Lyman #49, #50 and the current Cast bullet manual. They are a good source and comparison of information. I refer to mine frequently, even the old ones.

I don't understand the need to place multiple die sets on one turret.

Turret presses do not fit my preferred methods of reloading and I do not feel turret presses are worth the money spent on them, although the auto index Lee concept maybe has some value. I do understand having lots of holes in the turret.

Getting past the strength/flex issues old turret press designs have been historically plagued with, you can have multiple die sets installed on one turret as already noted, or extra dies for specialized tasks, or any other "out-of-the-box" die layout the reloader can think of.

But, like most things, different strokes for different folks and turret presses off an option to consider for reloaders

I'm happy with my two presses, a Lee Classic Turret Press for loading handgun cartridges and an RCBS Rockchucker for loading rifle cartridges. (although I could do both on either press)

Looks like you and I are the only 2 who see any practical use for it.
I would totally buy one.
Like you said, a lot of people keep extra turret heads with dies that stay in them all the time. This gives the option of having them set up without changing the head.
I don't see why it's silly.
There are 3 of us, but I’m keeping a low profile. ;)

I use the Lee Classic turret and am not in the market for this press, but as for the extra stations how about a universal decapper, universal flarer, or on-press case trimming tools? I've got an extra turret for these items but on this model they could be left in the turret. Doesn't seem silly to me.
