I have a Lyman Power Case Trimmer and it has worked well for me. But, this time I'm having trouble with the cartridge getting stuck on the pilot. Sometimes very tightly stuck. I've tried sliding the case in and out before trimming and it seems fine. Then after trimming it gets stuck. I bought the expensive carbide bit that was supposed to eliminate that problem. I'm guessing that the bit is getting dull and smashing the case mouth vs trimming it. I've trimmed a few thousand cases so is it time to change the bit? Your experience will be helpful.

Check for brass stuck to the cutter. Happens quite often with soft metals. Then apply some case lube/wax to the cutter to aid in keeping the brass from sticking.

Carbide holds a edge longer but requires more force and does not do well with light cuts. Cobalt is a better choice or HS for light cuts.

Mine does that to if I cut more than about .005" off a case, it put a wire edge on the inside of the case and it doesn't want to pull back off the pilot.
It's the only thing I don't like about mine. I pull the case out and chamfer the wire edge off the inside and it cuts good again for another .005".
I haven't spent the $45.00 for the carbide cutter either.
I've been waiting for someone to come on here and say the carbide cutter bit is the next best thing since sliced bread.

I haven't seen that post yet.
