My dad has an M1 carbine that he got when my grandfather passed away. Grandpa bought it at an army surplus store in the mid 90's.
We were looking at it Christmas at my parents' house. The receiver is stamped "NATL ORD". I'm guessing that's National Ordnance?
What's the scoop? Where's it made? Hunk o' junk or decent? Would it be something you could take out and put a lot of rounds through without worrying about it breaking?
