Hi all,
The answer to the last quiz is important. Here is the answer, it is from the 1944 Inspector Guide for the M1 Garand Rifle and is as follows:
"Unless otherwise specifled on the drawings, one-tenth of one percent of the springs from each lot, but not less than ten, shall be tested through 20,000 cycles, stressed through the same range and at approximately the same velocity and change of motion as in service, The inspector may increase the quanity of springs to be tested." I guess it would mean all springs on the M1 Garand Rifle.
Hope you had fun on this one.
Thanks again
Clancy
