Well at least its not your equipment and its only the army's. Wonder how much that LAM cost, going to guess about a grand?

Is the reciever shot, or does it still cycle properly?

Ow. Glad you made it out okay.

That Surefire doesn't look too terribly banged up, especially compared to the rifle. Wonder if they'll be sending you a new one free... :)

So, does the boomstick belong to Unca Sugah?

The electronic stuff looks kinda battle-weary...

Possum how did the barrel get bent during the rollover? did the roof cave in? Glad you came out of it OK. I have seen up armored Hummwv rollovers and the only way I can tell that they rolled over was that the mirror brackets bent. I don't know about Hummwvs but M1s and Bradleys practice rollover drills.

Dang! Been in a couple of rollovers myself - glad you came out of it OK.

Of course you know now every mall ninja will want "one of them new AR's that shoot around corners!" :p

well i was in the gunners seat behind the m240 and my m4 was lying beside me in the turret it is hard to explain but where i could easily get to it if need be. so i guess as we were rolling iver the barrel must have gotten bent between where it was in the turret and the pavement. yeah the truck was pretty messed up it was totally fubar, i am not gonna show pics of the vehicle on this open forum, but it was pretty beat up. yeah i am normally a brad gunner and we do rollover drills, but we are hardly ever in them any more and we are in the m1151s more than anything. i tought my guys to sweep the legs of the gunner out from under him during a rollover, worse case scenario he bust his lip and looses some teeth. but at least they keep thier head. i know for sure the tc didn't do that, but there was definetly a retrain after wards.

I also am glad you and your guys came out ok!
Can you tell us if this was just a road accident (into a ditch?) or a result of some action ?

Rifle brings to mind some pictures of a gun the Germans developed in WWII for city fighting (just a bent barrel actually). Pretty silly actually, what the heck is a solider supposed to do? Carry a silly bent barrel rifle around all day hopeing to get jammed up so bad his only way out is to shoot at the other side around a corner?

    glad you are OK

Thanks for posting the pics - they are interesting.

Glad you and your crew are OK! Those pics sure speak to the violence of the rollover.

    Stay safe.

the russians had an mg like that for the tank crews back in ww2 IIRC. interesting concept.

basically the driver over corected, we power slide 180 degres and then fliped 1 and 1/2 times.
