    No takers when I tried to trade my Colt Compact Auto for a Ruger #1 on H.R.
    Went to the Pasadena Gun Show this morning and did a deal..

    The trade was even up...whacha think??

    That tiger stripe is beautiful, I think you did well! Whatcha got there, i'm guessing it is a lighter chambering due to the fairly thin buttpad?

    The Ruger is chambered for .22-250. I am not a wood guru, so I honestly don't know what kind of wood is on the rifle.
    It is obviously custom wood and the checkering is perfectly done at 22 PPI.

    I have another grandson due in June, and this one has Kyles name all over it!!

    Should make for a good groundhog getter, you have one lucky grandson! FWIW, I believe that is maple.
