Magnum Research 1911?

Had one come in for a customer at my in laws shop. Once the customer unboxed it he let me take a look at it. Seemed to be a good, substantial pistol for the price. Everything clicked and slid as it should and no red flags stood out to me. I only handled it for a few minutes, didn't get a chance to field strip it to check for machining marks and obviously didn't get to fire it. So take what you will from my very limited exposure.

I've yet to see one in person, but I really want to shoot one. I haven't heard much about them, but what I have read has been positive.

Picked up the full sized model from a friend for $540 with less than a 100 rounds through it. I've put another 600 or so through it, not a lot of rounds but enough to get a decent feel for the gun. Probably the best money I've spent. Zero failures, finish is holding up great so far, at 25 yards the gun makes me look like a pretty decent shooter. The best part is the trigger, it has the nicest trigger I've felt on any stock sub-$1000 gun.

I handled one at a store awhile back. Seemed very nice, except the grip safety flopped around. From all the reviews I've read though they seem pretty well built.

Wasn't impressed by their initial marketing... But that's just me being an insufferable JMB fanboy.

The one I handled a while back was OK, but I didn't really like the styling.

2 wheels I should know but don't, what does JMB stand for? I have fired a Magnmun Research 1911 and it was more capable than me but for some reason it didn't trip my trigger to get one.
