Anyone have experience with the Magpul MBUS (specifically the rear sight)? I imagine they are rock solid like anything else Magpul, but would like some feedback before ordering.

Are they all polymer, or are there metal componets? How's the accuracy? I would expect accuracy to be less than a fixed rear but should be 'accurate enough' to make hits out to 200yrds?

What about the adjustments? I know they are most likely a 'set and forget' type of thing, but will repeated adjustments 'loosen' anything given its plastic?

I have 2 of the rears. One on my 9MM and one on a KISS BM carbine.

They seem really solid. I have had no POI changes or other similar issues. They deploy quickly and solidly So far no signs of loosening up. the 9mm has 800 or so rounds through it with it mounted and the 5.56 has maybe twice that.

Cool thanks. Price tag on them seem OK, still high for a hunk of plastic (can't be more than 4-5 dollars worth of materials). But if they do the job then that's not a huge deal.

I have been looking at BUIS from all the different companies and while I *think* I need something like the Matech that has windage and elevation adjustments, the reality is that once I go optics on the AR I'll probably never use any iron (plastic?) sights again.
The Magpul seems like a good fit for a) having it
b)decent price
c)probably never use it

I am not a big fan of the Matechs but that is a personal thing. Of all the LE and military I have worked with in my days, I can't name a single one that needed elevation adjustments.

The only 3 I personally have had good luck with are the Arms #40 the Troy Flip up and the MBUS.
