While doing a search here I came across the list of all the vendors people are sending their C&Rs to. When your sending them out are you attaching a cover letter or just your license? If you are sending a cover letter, what did you saying in it?

Also, I'm noticing that most of the web sites don't list firearms. Like Brownells for instance. Do you get a mailer or something that tells you what firearms they have or is there a special part to the web site you can get access to?

I know from reading some posts that some offer discounts to C&R/FFL holders. If your C&R is on file, I'm assuming you need to ask for the discount when ordering. Is this pretty easy or do some vendors give you a hassle?

Yep, I enclose a short letter...

stating here is a copy of my C&R for your files. They, at least the companies that I deal with, will enter your info into their computer system so they have it available when you call with a fist full of money.

Brownell's does not sell guns, that is why you don't see any. They only sell gunsmith and such equipment and parts. CDNN does not show their guns on their web site but they don't have much C&R. You have to log on with Century to see their prices. It used to be easy but I have not been able to log on since renewing my license.

Be prepared to be broke. For a small fee, we will let you know our secrets on sneaking guns into the house past SWMBO.........chris3:rolleyes:

I called them first (SOG, Century, AIM, Midway, Brownells, etc etc), and was told to just sent the C&R. Nobody wanted a letter.

No need to send a letter, they know what to do...I did send a note with my email address and asked to be put on any mailing list/email flyer.

Some of the places on the list in that other thread don't sell firearms, but they will give you a discount on their merchandise. (Brownells, Midway, etc.)
