East German all the way. If you want a Bulgy, SOG and JGSales have very nice ones for $230. No need to pay $300+ for one.

Add shipping, FFL transfer, and now my state (WA) has cowed FFLs into collecting use tax. You're looking at $300 easy. The $330 Bulgy is only slightly high for street price around here. The East German is a steal.

Well, someone snatched up the EG when I called to tell my dealer I wanted it :banghead::fire::banghead::fire::cuss:. I seriously thought he was holding it for 24 hrs for me...

Good news is that I got him to lower the price on the Bulgarian down to $285, so I told him I'd take it. Comparing it to the pictures I've seen online of the Bulgarian Makarovs for sale at J&G, etc, it really is worth it to me. This pistol is in immaculate condition... no wearing on ANYTHING and it doesn't have that god-awful billboard from Century on the slide... I really am enamored with it... will post pics this weekend hopefully.

considering you'd have to pay $230 for a bulgy from jg or sog, plus shipping, plus a transfer fee, i think you did ok for $285, especially given that you know it's in great condition.

only thing left to do is enjoy it.
