What do people rub into receiver markings to make the lettering show up bright white in photos?

I use your standard Crayola white crayon. Works great!

White out works too. Doesn't last long but it works. Never understood why anyone would want white paint on a rifle though.

Crayon works fine for temporary things like a photo shoot. Pretty much every gun cleaning solvent there is will remove it.
