Hi there fellows!
One of my friends, Ms Holly, just got a new Savage in 270. And though she shoots it well from the bench, I'm a big proponent of plenty of dry fire exercise at home in field positions. That way when you do get to the range you can continue your practice in field positions and be comfortable, and accurate.
To that end I made her some Dummies to practice with, and I also showed some 458WM snap caps I put together some time ago for myself. The process is quite easy and I wrote it out here with lots of pictures: Making Snap Caps or Dummy Cartridges
I'm going to try to put together the "Advanced" snap caps sometime in the near future when I can scrounge up some delrin or similar substance. I'll let everyone know when I document that.
