people here are quite dull, we had slavery for centuries, I guess it's still in the mentality - someone higher says what's good for us. During the communism period the people didn't have to think for themselves, now the people believe blindly that the goverment nows what they're doing. There's not too much of my kind of people, less than others.
Judges are mixed nationalities, they get appointed by the state, people can't do anything about it. There's plenty of those judges who dodn't believe in punishment, maybe they get paid too, several have been busted like that. One judge demanded a million to give out a favorable verdict. You see, there's a lot of nephew-politics here, friends and relatives are put to high places, so it has a cartell-like feeling.
Laws are made by parliament, they mosty sit there and scratch their balls. And usually make a great deal of nothing. IE the law that regulates using dirty language in internet portals has higher priority than gun/SD laws.
No we don't like russians very much, as they have been always a bad news. But remember this, russian-speaking estonians are not the same as russians in estonia. As usual, there is part that wants to be a part of society, and those who don't. The latter is the serious hate object.
Not too much unregistered guns hanging around now, after WWII there was plenty of it, SMGs, MGs etc, several tanks, stalin's organs etc. Long time ago the police (then militia) busted couple of kids, later the minivan the police had was filled with guns and ammo, and all full-autos, like 10+, ammo was by crates. Explosives were also quite common. Kids had steilhandgranates (german club as it was called), friend from work blew up a bridge with ammonite sticks (couple of decades ago, made his own detonators) etc.
