American Finn, there is a face book page for the SD rally. It says they will be meeting in Pierre at the state capitol at noon. It also has this note:

The Capitol Grounds and surrounding area in Pierre,SD is a Gun-Free Zone. PLEASE follow all Local, State, and Federal Laws.

Please go. Please invite your friends, family etc.

I can't attend but am interested to see the results of this. Anybody who goes should take some video and update us on how it went.

Time to make an impact

Tomarrow is the big day!

Time to see if we got the word out...
Time to see if people are pissed off...
Time, to rally for freedom.

Waiting for the MSM and gun grabbers to call them a bunch of racist teabaggers.

Thanks for those who stood up.

CBS and ABC have reported thousands of supporters at State Capitols.

I've yet to see anybody else reporting on it yet. CNN doesn't want anyone to think that there are pro-gun people in the United States.

My wife and I attended the rally in Columbus, Ohio. There were at least 1500 people there. Lots of signs, lots of people open carrying. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. I saw many people with Ars and other modern sporting rifles. Considering the lack of advance notice, I was thrilled with the turn out.

Thank you for your service toward preserving America!

We did it. Together we made the news. People will talk about this.

CBS is talking about it.

ABC is talking about it.

And I am proud to say my local paper is talking about it

Take a moment and reflect on our achivement. . . dont take too long.

Much work is to be done. More letters to write, more rallies to attend and more positive atmosphere to spread.

I think the crowd today in Austin was estimated at about 1,500. We had some excellent speakers an a lot of God and Country Americans in attendance. The opposing crowd on the other side of the capital had a pathetic turnout. We made a statement today but the fight has just started. We must be relentless in letting the tyrants know that gun control will be a no-go with the American people.

I pretty sure that a lot of people didn't get the word. I just found out earier this week on this forum. We did have about 600 turn out today and received some coverage from at least two of the big three affliates. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a typical Iowan gathering, polite. Although we were on the Capital grounds, no l.e.o's were present. And while state laws allow open carry, no one did. I think with a little more synchronization between groups this could really grow. I know this event was more of a response to the blather coming from the white house right now, but maybe every May 1st would be a good time to remind Americans that the law abiding gun owners are NOT the problem.

Good job guys, keep it up.

Give money to the NRA, they're our outlet now. Like it or not this "special interest group" is one of the few that has our interests at heart.

Notice how the Brady Campaign isn't called a "special interest group" by the media?

Time to stop tuning in to CNN people. Get your information online and use common sense to form your own ideas. You'll never get a fair representation from the media about firearm ownership.
