    How well do the Marlin laminate stocks hold up under adverse conditions?

    Mine got a really good soaking on opening day of deer season this year, but it is really years or decades away from a definitive answer.

    I like mine, and in theory it should be better/more dimensionally stable than a solid wood stock, but in practice I doubt there is much difference unless you store your rifle under water...

    Love my old 336 with its walnut stock, but this year I chose to hunt with my 336 SS XLR.
