Does anyone know if the 336 & 375 are the same frame?
or is the 375 the same as 444/1895? I don't know which sight to get?

I have both; a Marlin 375 and and Marlin 45-70. Definitely NOT the same frame. Since the 375 Win. and the 30-30 have identical rim diameters, I'd bet they use the same action.

I have the Williams FP 336 set on my 444 and I really like it.
But if I was to do it over again, I'd get a Williams side mount peep so that I could use the front three holes on top of the receiver to mount a shortened scope base. I'd use the scope for dialing in my reloads. I like the peep sight for just about everything else.

At the moment at least one, and maybe both of mine have (Williams) receiver sights on them. It's been a while since I pulled them out of the safe, so I don't remember for sure.
